Yes, we need to have faith in trials but also in times of blessing. Ps 105:19 implies that Joseph was still tested by God in the period between being promoted to Prime Minister and reconcilling with his family.

When the Israelites moved into the Promise Land they were still tested in their commitment and faith.

It’s not just in the trials but also in the blessings that we our faith needs to be strong.

Thak you Gail! I like those two scripture verses as well. Pastor Robert Morris teaches in his book, From Dream To Destiny, that Psalm 105:19 is a prophetic test that we must pass on our way to the fulfillment of our destiny in Him. Will we believe God’s word in the midst of a trial? Knowing God’s word and standing on it in faith during a trial helps develop the character we need for God’s promotion into our destiny! Wow! I’m so glad that God is faithful to work all things together for our good! Thanks again Gail and have a blessed evening!

“And you shall remember that the Lord your God lef all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not.” Deut 8:2

“Until the time came to fulfill his dreams, the Lord tested Joseph’s character.” Ps 105:19

These are two of my favourite scriptures as they remind me that God sees long term, and that He tests us before He leads us into a time of promise and blessing.
